Now for Mobile-ising Women in Business 2.0!
Biz Better Together’s inaugural Mobile-ising Women in Business event series concluded with the Canberra event on Tuesday, February 28. This final event in series 1.0 was a successful, just like the four that preceded it, with the event hashtag #MobileBizWomen trending nationally on Twitter, going as high as number four.
Our new voice at the latest event was Holly Ransom, the CEO of consultancy firm Emergent, who joined us for the first time as a keynote speaker. Her presentation on the challenges and opportunities of managing the intergenerational workforce was enlightening.
Some of the series’ most popular speakers returned for the Canberra event, including Neural Systems Specialist Dr Fiona Kerr, who wowed the crowd with discussion of how using technology changes the human brain. Social media influencer Laurel Papworth educated attendees on the finer points of using Facebook for business.
The event was attended by 139 people, mostly local businesswomen. Nic Crowther from Canberra publication The Shaker reported on the event.
Following the success of this event series the Biz Better Together team is now planning Mobile-ising Women in Business 2.0. Staying true to the popular theme of embracing digital and mobile technology to do better business, the 2.0 series will also extend the topic into automation, robotics and other bleeding edge technology, and explore the impact these types of innovation have on business.
Dates and locations are yet to be finalised, but keep an eye on the Biz Better Together Twitter and Facebook channels for event and speaker announcements.
